About Stock2Swap

Built by restaurant people, for restaurant people.

Nashville · TNFounded 202530+ years on the pass

Stock2Swap was born out of a problem every operator knows by heart: the delivery falls short, the count is wrong, the 86’d item shows up on a Friday night — and the restaurant three blocks away has exactly what you need sitting in their walk-in.

We’re a restaurant-to-restaurant ingredient exchange platform that turns those shortfalls into a few taps. When you’re in the weeds, Stock2Swap connects you with nearby kitchens who can cover the gap — so service never stops and good product never goes to waste.

Collectively, our founding team brings over three decades of experience inside the restaurant and hospitality business — from the line and the back office to nationwide operations and the technology that runs underneath it all. We’ve lived this problem on both sides of the pass. Now we’re solving it.

We believe independent restaurants deserve the same operational tools the big chains have spent millions building. Stock2Swap is how we level that field — one swap at a time.

The founding team

Two operators, one obsession.

Daniel Scalici

Daniel has spent 15 years managing restaurants and building successful, profitable operations from the ground up. His toolkit reads like a restaurant operator’s job description done right: leadership, communication, negotiation, adaptability, active listening, and a relentlessly solution-oriented approach to every shift.

He’s worked alongside chefs operating at the highest level of the industry and carried those standards into his own work ethic and safety practices — backed by a national food safety certification. As a sous chef at The Farm House in Nashville, Daniel cooked for the James Beard House. At The Green Pheasant, his team earned Best New Restaurant in Nashville.

Most recently, Daniel served as Executive Chef with The 5th Street Group, leading the kitchens at Church and Union and Ophelia’s.

Daniel knows what it takes to keep a kitchen running when the margin for error is zero — which is exactly the problem Stock2Swap is built to solve.

Matt Weichel

Matt spent a decade with Chick-fil-A, rising from Operations Director to leading staff training for Grand Openings nationwide. Along the way, he helped open the first Chick-fil-A in Brooklyn, NY and the brand’s debut in the Bay Area, CA — high-stakes launches where systems, speed, and execution had to be flawless on day one.

That operational foundation now powers his work in technology. Matt builds the digital tools that let the SMB market — independent restaurants and small operators — run on the same level as full-scale corporations.

He’s the bridge between how restaurants actually work and what modern software can do for them. Stock2Swap is the product of that combination: enterprise-grade infrastructure, built for the operator down the street.
